Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was born in South London, England into an ethnically diverse family. Her father is a Nigerian-Swiss, while her mother was English. She was born and raised in a council estate located south of London. When she was 14she enrolled in The Brit School. She was a student of acting at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London. In her time at the school, she performed in numerous stage plays, like King Henry V's Princess Katherine or Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe got her start in acting with a film titled Storm Damage. She has since made appearances on Teachers, Doctors Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Her breakthrough role came in 2007's Woody Allen movie Cassandra's Dream. It was opposite Colin Farrell (who played the role of Cassandra) and Ewan McGrath. Her success led her to play Elisha in a single-off BBC Three drama West 10 LDN pilot, then appear in the six-episode series Trexx & Flipside playing the character of Ollie. She also was offered the role in the role of Bambi in the ITV2 Drama series Secret Diary of a Call Girl and was featured in the series two and three. Madekwe played the lead role in How to Lose Friends And Alienate Others, a comedy released in 2008. She was also on the screen in Little Sweet Thing, by Roy Williams, and Flight Path, by David Watson.
Madekwe made her official US debut on the Drama series The Beautiful Life, which was only broadcast in the US on The CW before being cancelled. Ashley Davenport appeared in ABC drama Revenge from February 2011. The show premiered in May 2013 and it was announced that Madekwe, who had appeared on the show as a series regular for the previous two seasons was to leave the series with a guest appearance on the premier episode of the new season. Madekwe starred as Tituba on the show Salem from 2014 until 2016. Madekwe wed her actor boyfriend Iddo goldberg in June 2012. They worked together in the film Secret Diary of a Call Girl. He also played alongside Madekwe on Salem.
Ashley Leggat is a Gemini-nominated actress who was raised in a big family. Her parents were Roy and Patty Leggat. Ashley Leggat joined Roy and Patty along with her three older siblings - Brett, Todd and Bram as well as Rob. Ashley's brothers were all extremely athletic and played baseball and hockey throughout the winter and summer months. Her childhood was spent in the arenas and baseball. Ashley was not a walker, but she danced. In the age of two and half, she found Baby Ballet. Ashley was addicted to dance immediately. Ashley continued to dance competitively throughout high school at the top levels of competitions, such as ballet, tap, Jazz Pointe, Acrobatics, Pointe Musical Theatre, Lyrical Hip Hop, and more. All of the big dance events, such as International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance which have awarded her the title "top soloist".
