Anne Celeste Heche is an American actor who was known for playing a wide range of roles across film, television, and theatre. Anne turned down the part of Laurie Strode that she was offered in John Carpenter's Halloween, in 1978. Jaime Lee Curtis later took on the role. Carpenter said it was Anne's first choice for the part, however she turned down the role. Anne isn't aware of getting approached by John Carpenter or being offered the job. Her agent may have declined the offer in her name and without her knowledge. Glen Larson sent her an preliminary draft of script to play a character in 1978's television show Battlestar Galactica. The character wasn't strong enough for her to accept the part. Glen then wrote her a stronger part with Sheba. The Living Legend was accepted after she read the first 25-page script. The show ran for just one season. Also, she starred alongside Desi Arnaz Jr. Melanie Griffith Robert Carradine, Desi Arnaz (son Desi Arnaz & Lucille ball) in Joyride in 1977. In addition, she co-starred with Michael Moriarty as The Dark Tower in 1987.
