Anne Celeste Heche was an American actress known for her work across a range of types of film, television, and stage. Anne Lockhart (born Anne Kathleen Maloney September 6 1953) is an American actress from the United States. She was most famous for her role as Lieutenant Sheba on the TV series Battlestar Galactica ( 1978-1979). She is the daughter and granddaughter of actor Gene Lockhart. Lockhart began her acting career in the early years. Her first role was at age four as she was in T is for Tumbleweed. The short film about the topic received a nomination from Oscar Awards. She spent time with her mother on the set, where she learned about the inner workings of the business. Lockhart even appeared in several scenes of Lassie. Dora in Jory, 1972 was her first film. At age 18 she played as the child of Joan Crawford in 1972 television show The Sixth Sense. Joan Crawford's final role as an actor. Many believe that Anne did not want to play Laurie Strode for John Carpenter's Halloween, a film from 1978. Jaime Lee Curtis was chosen to play the role. Carpenter has claimed that they were interested in her but she refused. Anne has no memory of getting invited to John Carpenter or being offered the role. Maybe one of her agents decided to decline the role for her, but without informing the actress. Glen Larson, who had provided a draft script for her role that she would play in the TV series Battlestar Galactica from 1978, first chose her. It was not a strong character enough for her to accept the part. Glen later wrote an even stronger character with Sheba. After she read the first 250 pages of The Living Legend she accepted instantly. The movie lasted only one season. It was her turn in Joyride, a 1977 movie that starred Desi Arnaz Jr. Melanie Griffith Robert Carradine (the son of Desi Arnaz Jr. Lucille ball) as well as with Desi Arnaz Jr.
