Rubi Rose Benton is an American Eritrean born in Lexington. Her father was John Benton a half African American and a half Japanese lawyer. Her mother is Eritrean and was born Ethiopia. Her father was adopted, which means her biological paternal grandparents are from Japanese origin. Scarlette is the oldest sister of two. Coral, her younger sibling is also an adoptee. She spent a year living within Geneva, Switzerland. Then she moved into Atlanta in Georgia as a junior. Georgia State University's Political Studies program was her focus. She grew to love Prince, Michael Jackson and Biggie. Marvin Gaye, Chaka, Marvin Gaye, etc. Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Mnaj are among her idols. Rose was initially known as the star of Migos' Bad and Boujee music video. Around this time, she started appearing regularly on a Twitch show together with East Coast Rap Commentator, DJ Akademiks.
